Watering your lawn

To ensure that our precious reserves of water are not wasted through excess evaporation, only water your lawn in the early morning or late afternoon / evening - and always adhere to local water restrictions or regulations.

Trapping Rainwater

Installing an approved rainwater collection system or tank, will allow you to supplement low rainfall and keep your lawn & garden in good condition, even in unusually dry weather.

After a dry spell, soil may not retain water as well as usual.  Applying a "wetting agent" will help any rainwater to soak in to your lawn, and not to be lost as runoff.

Victa's patented mulching disc system & plug can reduce mowing time by 40%, while providing additional nutrients for your lawn and reducing evaporation - which is so important in today's environment.

Is your fuel fresh?
For peak engine performance, it's wise to only store fuel for about 4 weeks.  After that time, most petrols begin to deteriorate and become less effective.

Sharp thinking
For optimal performance, lawnmower blades should be replaced every 12 months.  This will keep your lawn looking its best, and make mowing easier.

Mower tipping tip
When tipping a 4-stroke mower on its side to look underneath, always ensure the oil sump is at the bottom (usually the spark plug will be on top).  This prevents any oil from mixing with the fuel.
